Coming to Yiimtii
-
-
How to get here:
-
We are located 40 minutes away from Huatulco International Airport. The nearest town is Pochutla easily reached via bus from Mexico City. Taxis are available to the nearest village, Zapotengo, a delightful community nestled amongst thousands of coconut palms abutting a mangrove lagoon home to alligators, giant iguanas and scores of birds. Many villagers have joined together to form a community Ecotourism Project. They offer rowing tours of the lagoon and one of the most pleasant traditional restaurants on the Oaxacan Coast.
Yiimtii is located 2 miles from Zapotengo on a rugged dirt road. Four wheel drive transportation can be organized all the way to the end of the road, a third of a mile from Yiimtii´s entrance (only reached by trail).
