Seed Bank

We are creating a seed bank of highly nutritious plants from around the world that thrive in our climate and can serve as the basis for households to produce their own food on small plots of land.
We are learning to grow our food in harmony with the land and its many inhabitants (coatis, deer, iguanas, leaf cutter ants, skunks, birds, etc).

Ecology Education Center

Our goal is to promote sustainable methods of organic agriculture in neighboring communities that have embraced chemicals and pesticides and to offer access to Permaculture workshops, thus helping transform the usual slash/burn approach to a more harmonious way of working with the land.
We also want to explore new options for sustainable harvests of medicinal herbs, vines and trees in the local forest as a means to protect the local ecosystems and provide valuable jobs and revenues to the communities.
We would like to have the opportunity to work with children giving talks about ecology in the local schools.

Healing Center

This vision is being held by a Chinese Medicine Group of Yiimtii´s friends that have been deeply touched and called by the Spirit of this land to manifest an Alternative Healing Center focused on offering service to the poor nearby communities.

Adult Literacy Program

Zapotengo and nearby communities suffer from high rates of adult illiteracy. We are still searching for support on this area.
